Prior to the game, the Southern Illinois Buckmasters and Illinois Department of Natural Resources will have an area set up outside of GCS Ballpark for kids to participate in archery shooting. Bows will be provided by the Buckmasters. The archery event runs from 5:00 until 6:45.
A canned food drive will also take place during the event. For each canned food item donated, a raffle ticket will be handed out. Prizes consist of two (2) Matthews Genesis bows, as well as several Zebco rods and reels. All canned food will be donated to a local food pantry.
Along with the canned food raffle, there will also be a dollar bow raffle for a fully set up compound hunting bow.
